Here's how to apply to the Junior Volunteer Program at PHS:
- Go to the Junior Volunteer Program application page. On this page, click the link for completing the application, or go here: www.phs-spca.org/volapp
- At the top of this page, there is a list of "Reminders". The last bullet in this list says, "If you are interested in volunteering for the Wildlife program please find more information, as well as the correct application, here." Click on that, or click here.
- This brings you to a Better Impact (MyImpactPage.com) login page. Most folks won't already have an account with Better Impact, but if you do, go ahead an log in with your account. If you don't, you'll need to create an account (select a username and enter your email address). Likely, you'll have to receive a link via your email after this step in order to confirm and finally log into your account.
- Once you log in to your account in Better Impact through that same link in step 2, you should land directly on the application for the wildlife volunteer program. There is a series of questions to answer for the application (a screenshot of the top of the page is attached so you can confirm you're in the right spot). Once filled out, click "Submit" at the very bottom. This is due September 30.
Here's how to apply for the Wildlife Health Youth Fellowship:
- Once you submit your Junior Volunteer application, please let us know by emailing owcn@ucdavis.edu, and we will contact Peninsula Humane Society to confirm receipt of your application.
- Once you are approved as a Junior Volunteer through PHS, you will be eligible to apply for the Wildlife Health Youth Fellowship Program.
- We will send you the Application Questionnaire which also needs to be submitted by September 30. Answers to the questions can be emailed directly to owcn@ucdavis.edu.
- We will review all applications after September 30 and let applicants know their acceptance status by approximately the end of October. Shifts typically begin in January.
