Emily Carr

Emily has worked alongside the California Mountain Lion Project since 2021, officially joining as a biologist in 2024. Emily got her start in the field of veterinary medicine, and she brings her lifelong interest for animal health and behavior to the team’s conservation efforts. Emily also has extensive experience in public relations and advocacy, which she uses to raise awareness and foster understanding about mountain lion populations in Southern California.

Emily is passionate about engaging with local communities to help residents learn more about their wildlife neighbors, as well as the importance of conserving mountain lions in increasingly fragmented landscapes.
